Smile for a Lifetime of Greater Denver
In 2009, Dr. Theroux founded Smile for a Lifetime of Greater Denver as a way to give back to the community and invest in the future of underserved children. It is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Families must have an income of less than 185% of poverty level. Through this organization, Dr. Theroux provides orthodontic treatment to 8-10 local children each year on a completely pro bono basis. Recipients are required to perform a 40 hour community service project as part of the program’s Pay it Forward Clause.
Dr. Theroux is lucky to have a Board of Directors who select the recipients and a Board of Advisors. The Board of Advisors members are pediatric dentists who have agreed to treat the Smile for a Lifetime recipients on a pro bono basis for their general dental needs.
